Exalted, Chasing Misogyny Out of Astrology
A Seminar with Drs. Ralph & Lahni DeAmicis
The Piscean Age was hard on women astrologers. Take a look at the history of astrology from the 1800’s back through the Medieval period, the Dark Ages up the edge of the Roman Empire. Other than mathematically gifted daughters of male astrologers there is an amazing scarcity. While those women left behind their math, there is no trace of their interpretations, where we could see their philosophy. That world was dominated by men, and over fifteen hundred years they twisted the language and the tools to favor their sex. It’s time to undo the damage and arrive at a more equitable and thus, more insightful version of astrology truer to the underlying geometry that guides the art.
The culprit was the Roman Astrologer Emperor Constantine. At the time when he made Christianity Rome’s official religion there were numerous wealthy temples controlled by women. His Catholic, or universal church only had male priests who were subsidized by the state. The head of the Roman religion, the Pontifex Maximus and the Vestal Virgins became the Pope and the nuns. The priestesses of the other fifteen Roman Goddesses, such as Juno, Ceres, Minerva, Venus, Diana, Juno and Bellona, the Goddess of war, were gradually eliminated and their resources usurped by the state.

The original apostles of Jesus had included many women, but his high churchmen edited that down to twelve men, keeping only the two Mary’s. This governmental policy affected the next sixteen hundred years of astrological practice right up through the discovery and assignment of Uranus, Neptune and Pluto.How do we fix this? We use some of the gems found during Project Hindsight, and insights from Arabic astrology. But mostly we apply scientific language to heal the core geometry of astrology’s most abused ancient astrological tool inaccurately called the Table of Dignities. If you barely use this tool that’s not surprising, what we see widely available is a culturally tortured version of its original self. That damage was compounded by astrologers trying to make sense of major events triggered by planets that had not yet been discovered.
During the talk we will correct the language that defines the roles. We will show you how to use the incredibly graceful, core geometry upon which the table is based, and which was abandoned in the process of devaluing the importance of the feminine in our society and personal lives.

Arranging a Speech
We began speaking to groups in the mid-1990's, maintaining a busy seminar schedule until 2005 that included running two certificate programs on Feng Shui and Herbology, and a Doctoral mentor program. After that we continued speaking just a few times a year so we could focus on our writing, publishing, consulting and television shows.
This is the first talk that we are truly excited about in many years. It comes from our research in sacred geometry and experience as practitioners. We are ecstatic that thanks to technology, aka Zoom, we can share it with groups all over the world without having to travel there.
We will adapt the length of the talk to your needs, because while we extensive material, the core knowledge is elegantly simple. The hard part is getting past the years of programming that colors our thinking.
